ARCHERY CAPE BUFFALO

Archery Cape Buffalo is very much a desirable and doable hunt at Tom Miranda Hunting Safaris. Because of the difficulty and danger of spot and stalk buffalo hunting, more and more archers are preferring to hunt buffalo from hides and tree stands. The difficulty and "perceived macho image" of stalking dangerous buffalo has been somewhat left aside for the more practical approach of taking a huge trophy in a day or two. of still hunting... leaving time to pursue other animals..... Rather than stalking and busting huge bulls never to be seen again.

The other aspect is - as the cost of buffalo hunting has increased, so has the mean age of the hunters pursuing them, and therefore the risk associated with being charged, mauled or even killed.  The stark reality is that hide or tree stand hunting is an incredibly exciting rush as a huge dagga boy walks into the waterhole and with a bowhunter secure in a tree stand or hide, there is plenty of time to relax and make the shot. With-out question, the most satisfied bowhunters who attend Tom Miranda Hunting Safaris are the bowhunters who pursue the Archery Cape Buffalo.
